The club general secretary Adnan Al Ali asserted that all the logistical arrangements had been completed for the start of the team's preparations for the new season , and all the aids are ready specially that the team's preparations will be in two periods , the first began in Doha followed by an external preparations period that will be in the next upcoming days .
Al Ali said in his speech to the club offical website : " Everyone is optimistic that the team will present it self in a good way in the new season , especially that it will play with its new name ( Al Duhail Sports Club ) after the completion of the merge between Lekhwiya and El Jaish , and Inshallah the team will continue its victories and presenting the levels that reflects the big development of the Qatari football in the last period " .
Al Ali continued his speech by :" We welcome all our new players who recently joined us from El Jaish club and we hope they will continue theri distinctive appearance either in the internal or external important participations that awaits us in the AFC champions League , and yesterday they began their preparations under the leadership of coach Djamel Belmadi and everyone is working on being this season special to the team in everything " .
And regard to the news that spread about the transfer of the team's professional Youssef Msakni , Al Ali said : " Youssef Msakni is still our player and did not end his contract with us and until now we have not recieved any external offers so that we can study them and take the right decision , and the player did not join the beginning of the preparations due to his marriage which has been completed a few days ago , but he will join his colleagues in the coming days " .
Al Ali stressed that the team's management is considering a number of options to complete the contract of the professionals , he said : " We have many options regarding the fourth professional and we are still studying them extensively and consult them with the coaching staff and in case of completing the negotiations we will announce to everyone " .
And in the end of his speech , Al Ali wished the success to the team in his next journey and wished the new players will continue proving their progress and presenting the distinguished levels they showed with their former club .
