Lekhwiya handball team booked its place at the Emir Cup after defeating Al Ahli on Thursday 25-40 at Al Gharafa Sports Club.

The handball team conducted the last training session before meeting Al Ahli at the Quarter-finals of the Emir Cup on Thursday 7pm at Al Gharafa Sports Club.

The head of the handball team Nawaf Al Muadeed gave his thought after the match “It was tough match and both teams worked hard, but Al Ahli was luckier.” “The professional players absents did not affect our performance tonight.”

The team coach Buaziza gave his though after the match saying “Our players were so committed to win the match, they did great job and fought till the last minute.”

Lekhwiya came in second place after losing the final match of Qatar Cup. The lost the match on Thursday 39vs40 at Al Gharafa Sports Club.

Lekhwiya will meet Al Ahli in the final match of the Qatar Cup at Al Gharafa Sports Club 7:30 pm on Thursday.

Lekhwiya will face Al Qiyadah in the semin final of the 2014 Qatar Premier Handball League, on Monday 5:15 pm at Al Gharafa Sports Club.
