Lekhwiya returned to achieve the victories and was able to maintain the top of the Qatar Stars League by beating Al Rayyan 2-1 in the match that was held this evening at Thani Bin Jassim Stadium in Al Gharafa Club in the last-round of the first section.
The first half of the match ended without goals from both teams after the professional Arona Dindane succeeded to put Lekhwiya at the top of the match in the 50th minute.
Algerian Madjid Bougherra added a second goal of Lekhwiya after just two minutes (52) from a cross-ball on goal before the Korean Cho Yong scoring Rayyan goal in the 61st minute of the match The result lifted Lekhwiya to 22 points in the lead.
